About Noida Deaf Society

Noida Deaf Society (NDS) is a not-for-profit organization and runs on private funding. It conducts IT based vocational courses for Deaf youth coming from Noida and beyond. Noida Deaf Society (N.D.S) was established by Ms. Ruma Roka on the 13th of June 2005 with the sole purpose of empowerment for the Deaf people in and around Noida.

The society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, the registration number being 658. It has been granted tax exemption under the Act 80G of the Income Tax Act.

NDS has discerned that the deaf are quick visual learners and grasp better when taught in sign language and other visual media. The courses offered in NDS are

1. Basic IT Computer Skills – from typing to software

2. Desktop publishing and Web graphics

3. English communication – reading and writing

4. Core Life Skills

5. Indian Sign Language

    I have been associated with NDS since 2006. I must say that the journey has been amazing. How the organization has grown and become a truly impactful group over these years is a great example, model and inspiration for people in the business of social outreach.

    i am deaf. my is mobile number 7376073793 only sms. I am in live lucknow. I am not find jobs. Please reply……….
